day 1: ARRIVAL TO MARIBOR

day 2: GORNJA RADGONA-PTUJ

tour goes across hilly countryside / vineyards and orchards.&38 km

we liked: rich museum collections on Ptuj castle.

day 3: PTUJ-ROGAŠKA SLATINA .

first flat across Ptuj field, then a low pass (200 m).&39 km
main attractions: oldest Slovene town - castle, roman ruins. Gothic church in Ptujska Gora.

day 4: ROGAŠKA SLATINA-PODČETRTEK

easy route going through Sotla river valley.&22 km
main attractions: glass workshops in Rogaška. Mineral water springs.

day 5: REST DAY IN PODČETRTEK.

we liked: a day of bathing in large swimming park of the hotel complex.

day 6: PODČETRTEK-ČATEŽ.

flat route,some hills.&44 km
main attractions: Podčetrtek-oldest pharmacy in Europe, deer farm.

day 7: ČATEŽ-OTOČEC.

flat, across Sava field&40 km
main attractions: Kostanjevica open-air gallery, Pleterje monastery.
we liked: hotel in Otočec - mighty mediaeval castle with large park on an island - tourist dream.
